Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how OpenClaw handles information when you use our website, iOS app, and related hosted services.

Last updated: February 27, 2026.

Information We Collect

  • Account and authentication data: user ID, sign-in identity, and profile information required to operate your account.
  • Usage and quota metrics: token counts, estimated usage cost, provider/model source, event IDs, and limited request metadata needed for quota enforcement and service reliability.
  • Privacy preference data: AI processing consent, analytics opt-in, privacy policy version accepted, and consent timestamps.
  • Device/app functionality data: minimal device identifiers used for core app functionality.

How We Use Information

  • Provide and secure OpenClaw services.
  • Authenticate users and manage subscriptions or plan quotas.
  • Track operational usage to prevent abuse and enforce limits.
  • Maintain account settings, consent preferences, and compliance records.

AI Processing

OpenClaw routes your requests to OpenClaw infrastructure and the AI providers you choose (for example OpenAI or Anthropic) to fulfill your request.

Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not use your data for ad targeting.
  • We do not enable third-party advertising trackers in the iOS app.

Retention and Deletion

You can request account deletion from the app. Deletion requests are marked as pending first, then purged after a short safety window (currently 7 days), except where legal retention is required.

When an account is purged, related profile and hosted-instance records are removed from our active systems.

Security

We use access controls, authenticated APIs, and database row-level security patterns to protect account data and service operations.

No system can guarantee absolute security, but we continuously review and improve safeguards.

Your Choices

  • Review and update privacy preferences in app settings.
  • Request account deletion in the app.
  • Stop using the service at any time.
